Today we got up early and had breakfast so we could make the most of the day.
First we went to Stonehenge, a megalithic monument of great importance. We were very impressed by the size of the standing stones.
Then we visited the village of Avebury where we were able to touch some of the standing stones that form the cromlech. There we also visited St. James's Church.
Our next stop was Lacock, where our guide showed us and explained the different places where movies such as Harry Potter were filmed.
Finally, we visited Castle Combe, a very small but charming village.
At 5.30 we were already in the hostel to rest a bit and recharge our batteries having dinner so that we could continue the tradition of going down to dance in the square.
It was a fantastic day!
Hoy nos hemos levantado pronto y hemos desayunado para poder aprovechar bien el día.
Primero hemos ido a Stonehenge, un monumento megalítico de gran importancia. Nos ha impresionado mucho el tamaño de los menhires.
Después nos han llevado a ver el pueblo de Avebury donde hemos podido tocar algunos de los menhires que forman el cromlech. Allí también hemos podido visitar la iglesia de St. James.
Nuestra siguiente parada ha sido Lacock en la que nuestro guía nos ha enseñado y explicado los diferentes lugares en los que se han rodado películas como Harry Potter.
Por último hemos visitado Castle Combe, un pueblo muy chiquito pero con mucho encanto.
Finalmente hemos llegado a Bristol a descansar un poco y reponer fuerzas con la cena para poder cumplir con la tradición de bajar a bailar a la plaza.
¡Ha sido un día fantástico!
